General
- The Public Safety Communication topic is considered interesting by CELTIC Event and Workshop participants.

Discussion of Test Beds Federation for Public Safety
- The FT PSC project fits well into the scope of PanLab activities. The cooperation will help to optimize efforts of these two initiatives. To avoid repetition, PanLab should provide a technology platform for the FT PSC test bed. The involvement of public authorities and the importance of coordination had been emphasized. - The expression of interest to participate in the project was received from Oguz Yapar TÜBITAK, Türkiye Bilimsel Ve Teknolojik Arastirma Kurumu/ Turkish Research Funding Agency.
Security Research. BUGYO presentation
- The presenter (Bertrand Marquet / Bertrand Marquet, Alcatel, France) emphasized the importance and interest to participate in international cross projects dissemination activities in the area of security.

Public Safety and Security Research Workshop at CELTIC Event 2008
Invitation
The Public Safety and Security Research Workshop at CELTIC Event 2008
is the joint initiative of the
CELTIC programme and
Safety Research Initiative (SRI) of Public Safety Communication Europe Forum (PSCE). The workshop will discuss cooperation between different CELTIC projects and programmes in the areas relevant for public safety and security.
We invite presentations form CELTIC projects focused on Security topics and interdisciplinary areas that are of interests and relevant for Public Safety Communications. The CELTIC projects focused on security, heterogeneous and mesh networks, deployable networks, networks interoperability and networking, network integration and management, test beds federation are invited to participate in the workshop.
The goal of the workshop is to facilitate the exchange of information and coordination between CELTIC projects and number of activities in the domains of public safety and security established by PSCE.
The Workshop supposed to contribute the development of European public safety communications research agenda and road map for future technological development, help to focus new projects in safety and security domains, facilitate and coordinate dissemination CELTIC projects activities.
The workshop presentations and results of round table discussions will be published at SRI PSCE web site.
We invite interested projects and their representatives to register for workshop by sending mail to: stefanie.oestlund@uni.lu and submit the electronic version of presentations and discussion topics proposals to adrian.boukalov@uni.lu.
The Workshop will start after the CELTIC event on 28 February at 14:30 and will finish at 16: 30. It will take place at at the Marina Congress Centre in Helsinki, Finland (further details see http://www.celtic-initiative.org/Events/Celtic-Event08-Helsinki/welcome.asp).
