VITAL

The VITAL project aims at consolidating the technological framework that will enable the smooth transition of multimedia communications (including voice) from a circuit to a packet switched domain of the communications. With respect to this goal, the project will setup an experimental IMS distributed platform, elaborate solutions to the aforementioned problems and test, validate and assess the resultant integrated IMS functionality in the context of advanced traffic experiments and theoretical simulations.
