EC Communication on Future Internet PPP
On 28 October 2009, the European Commission published its Communication about "A public-private partnership on the Future Internet". The document concludes that an industry-driven Public Private Partnership (PPP) needs to be set up rapidly, in order to complement the ongoing longer-term research supported by the FP7 ICT work programme. In the context of Future Internet research, the Commission also mentions the FIRE on Future Internet Research and Experimentation to which the PII project has been contributing.
The Commission calls upon all stakeholders to work together towards the objectives of the PPP.
