Testbed federation principles in Call 2 project proposals

As a result of the report by the FIRE (Future Internet Research and Experimentation) Expert Group,  the importance of experimental testing of research results via federated testbeds in Europe has been widely acknowledged. ICT-FP7 Objective 1.6, "New Paradigms and Experimental Facilities", reflects this importance. It would, thus, be advisable for emerging project consortia in this area to include a commitment to the principles of research testbed federation into their Call 2 project proposals.

Panlab prepared a sample text , which can be included - as it is, or with alterations - into project proposals.
